Marketer & Community Builder | Co-Host of Best Brands on Earth | Advisor to Challenger Brands & Founders | I write ✍️ and speak 🗣️ about the ideas, movements & creative bets worth studying
Co-host & executive producer of the new podcast, Best Brands on Earth, from the Clios. Episodes drop every Tuesday morning. Stay locked 👀 About me. I’ve spent 20 years building some of the most culturally relevant brands of the 21st century including Lyft, Call of Duty, MeUndies and more. Most recently as Global Head of Brand Strategy at Turo, where the brand eclipsed $1B in revenue and was named to TIME's 100 World's Best Brands list in 2025. Today—I co-host the new podcast Best Brands on Earth in partnership with The Clios feat. some of the most creative and innovative brands on the planet, advise challenger brands and founders across a variety of industries, write The Maple (a monthly newsletter tapping into the trends worth talking about), and spend a lot of time in the rooms where marketing's next decade gets decided. I’m also building one of the best new event series in marketing, creativity, and business; it's called Refuge. On LinkedIn I write about: → Brand building and the campaigns worth studying → Culture, creativity and what marketing can learn from everywhere else → Career strategy and the soft skills nobody teaches you (but should) → The contrarian take on whatever everyone else is saying I grew up in Toronto, became an American citizen in 2015, and have spent two decades proving that the side door is almost always open if you're willing to look for it. I love to build amazing businesses, brands & communities, help others, travel and be a dad. And not in that order. DMs are always open.

What was it ACTUALLY like growing up as Snoop Dogg’s son? 🤔 “A lot of people won’t really assume that we had a strict household. A lot of celebrity offspring do what they want. Live a lavish lifestyle. That was not the case with us. I would see my father’s hard work, his finances as a priority… and I would see it for what it is. Not taking it for granted or being entitled. I think my mom and aunties really helped me keep a chip on my shoulder.” Cordell Broadus is Snoop’s second child—yes, that is true. But more than that, Cordell is very much his own man. He walked away from a UCLA football scholarship (twice) to go build something that he was passionate about. Football was his dad’s dream for him… not his. Cordell was raised in a chaotic household that just… worked. Grades and manners were the priority. If you didn’t meet the standard, you were punished. In this deeply candid conversation with someone who is young, famous, and yet knows very much who he is, Cordell is honest with Hayley and I about vulnerable topics like… → Nepotism → Failure → Stereotypes → Culture Kobe Bryant once told Cordell, “Being Snoop Dogg’s son is going to get you in the room, but who you are is going to keep you in the room.” Cordell believes in himself and was central to helping his dad buy back Death Row Records—one of the most symbolically loaded acts of Black cultural reclamation in recent memory. There is so much to this conversation. Cordell is an inspiring young man and you need to hear it for yourselves. Atlanta bound and I cannot wait to get to Y’allywood ✈️ Brandweek starts tomorrow... I couldn’t be more curious to hear what’s being overhyped and what’s being undersold in the brand world. What’s more is that, while we’re there, Hayley Clover and I are both recording a special in-person roundtable edition of Best Brands on Earth and hosting one helluva dinner shindig. Every single one of these trips has given me AT LEAST one conversation that changed something. The rooms are where it happens. I’m confident the Peach State shan’t disappoint 🍑 If you'll be around, come find me and say hello. Or drop me a DM and let's make a plan. Let's go ATL 🙌
I’ve been fired. I’ve also been laid-off (twice). One might say I know a thing or two about the job search process 😏 And for years, it felt like a f—ing sh-tshow 🤬 Can I say that? 😬 For those hiring, it might just be worse. Candidates stressfully doomscrolling; Applying into the abyss of the Internet; Carefully editing each resume & cover letter so that it may bypass the troll overlord that is the Applicant Tracking System. Followed by crickets. Meanwhile, HR teams receive more resumes than ever; Taking weeks to get to hiring managers bc of manual scans, phone screens, and cold outreach to employed candidates. Someone had to use technology to fix this broken system. Which is why I’m incredibly stoked to celebrate Jack & Jill closing its Series A to bring their AI hiring agents to the masses. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 & 𝗝𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁. Candidates & those involved in the hiring process, both, get dedicated AI agents who are working 24/7 to help them find the ideal match. Candidates get Jack. Companies get Jill. It’s not “send me your resume or job description and I’ll get back to you with leads.” 💬 It’s voice calls to get to the heart of what you’re really looking for. 🎯 It’s advice on how to optimize your profile with context on exactly what the company is looking for. 🆘 It’s practice interviews, salary negotiation strategy, job and candidate match scores… I could go on. Look… I get this celebration comes at a moment of significant unease. AI is causing mass job displacement, which is making things worse, more competition, etc. But I genuinely believe in Jack & Jill’s brilliant use of AI for good. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗜’𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗧𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. I’m really proud to be a #JackandJillPartner in raising awareness for this wonderful group of humans. Here’s to a stellar next phase! Lastly, check out Jack & Jill for yourselves. I promise it’s worth it (even if only to refer to someone else) ♥️
