  • We've helped brands generate over 100M views combined. The hardest part was never the strategy. It was showing up to create content on a day when nothing felt like it was working. I see founders avoid building a personal brand because they think it's going to be this massive, complicated, time-consuming thing. The building part is actually fine. You define your point of view, you pick what to talk about, you show up in a format that works for you. That part takes an afternoon to figure out. The hard part is doing it again and again consistently. Most people quit somewhere in month 2 or 3 when the effort doesn't match the visible return yet. They think it's not working, and they stop. And then six months later they watch someone in their space, who kept going through exactly that same quiet season, start getting the inbound they wanted. The building process was never the barrier. The discipline to keep building when you can't see the results is what defines your brand's success. P.S. What part of showing up consistently is hardest for you right now? #personalbrand #founders #contentstrategy

  • I spent years making sure nothing about my tennis career showed up when people Googled me. When I graduated college, I wanted to leave the athlete identity behind. I'd felt boxed in by it for so long that the moment I stepped off the court for the last time, I just wanted to move on. So I built something new... I put all of my energy into Simply Multimedia and made social media the thing I was known for instead. And then I looked up one day and realized I'd done it again. I'd built a new box. The social media girl. The marketing expert. The agency founder. All accurate, but none of it showed the full picture. I never talked about my dad, who has coached me since I was a kid and shaped how I think about performance, discipline, and showing up when it's hard. I never talked about what it actually meant to come here on a student visa and build something with no safety net. I never connected the dots between the athlete I was and the founder I became, even though those two things are completely inseparable. So in August, I relaunched my personal brand. Because I realized I had been telling an incomplete story, and the parts I'd left out are actually the most interesting ones. This month you're going to see more of who I am beyond the work. Q&As with my dad, the Dutch-Indonesian girl who built an agency from a dorm room, and more. Because a personal brand that doesn't include the person isn't really a personal brand at all. P.S. What's one part of your story you've been leaving out of your content?

  • One piece of advice from four social media managers. Here's what we'd tell anyone trying to grow online right now 👇🏻 Milou Pietersz → No one has it all figured out.  Once you realize we're all figuring it out as we go, showing up imperfectly gets a lot easier. Caroline Langdon → Your personality is your competitive advantage.  The internet doesn't need another copy. It needs your opinions, your stories, your specific lens on things. Shanté Gorman → Don't stress over likes and views.  High-ticket clients have booked without ever once engaging with the content. The right people are watching quietly. Jalyn Marshall → Giving up is always easier than continuing.  Growth comes from staying in the game long enough to find what works. Not every post will perform and that doesn't mean you're failing. Keep going. 🤍 Grateful to be featured alongside Caroline from Impact Media House, Shantéé from Sugarpunch Marketing, and Jalyn from Social Media Jalyn in this one.
