  • #Deception and #Disruption Being a Cybersecurity professional, you spend a lot of time securing your Environment / Production / Setup / Company; for example OT Rnvironment. You also want to know what kind of threat models, techniques and attacks are being uaed or will be used against your company or environment. In order to keep those attackers engaged and yet secure your environment, you might used # HoneyPots or #HoneyNets. #HoneyPot is a virtual setup but still uses some of the devices like servers, routers or firewalls to make it look like a real envirinment BUT this is not actually part of your Production or real environment. Whereas a collection of HoneyPots is called #HoneyNet. This way you create a #Distraction for tye attackers but still learn on how and what the attackers are trying to infiltrate the environment. Furthermore, you improve your security plane along the way while taking the advantang3 of #Deception. If you want to learn more about how to creat3 anf use HoneyPot and HoneyNet refer to following link: https://lnkd.in/ekFGkPix #CybersecurityAwarenessProgram #CISSP #ComptiaSecurity+

  • #Cybersecurity is a vast domain, but if you keep yourself up-to-date in regards to information, you can make a difference by eliminating threat or even taking a corrective and preventive action can help you save critical data or millions of dollars worth of devices / resources. First thing is to be aware of the mistakes that others made and became the victims. Understand loopholes and learn a lesson. For starter, #OWASP has published a list of top 10 vulnerabilities; particularly talking about Web Applications; the most used platform or medium. The OWASP Top 10 is a standard awareness document that represents the most critical security risks to web. #CybersecurityAwarenessProgram #Cybersecurity #ComptiaSecurity+ #CISSP

  • #ZeroTrust Considering the digital world, the only identification is limited to some ID number; like ID, Key, or some other identification mechanism. Zero Trust comes into play as a corrective and preventive measure. In the digital world, you do not trust anyone or any device or syatem; everytime a #Resource request is received; it needs to be authenticated, authorized and only then the decision is made whether to serve that request or no. By #Resource request, we mean anything may it be data, physical machine or network. Usually, you divide resources into multiple layers 1. #Network (#Physical, #virtual, #cloud) 2. #Data (packets, frames, #Encryption etc) 3. #Control (#Policies, #Rules) In short, you enforce #CIA_Triad #CybersecurityAwarenessProgram #CISSP #ComptiaSecurity+
