About Rafal Michalczyk

I make your LinkedIn look as good as your experience | Visual Identity for Founders, Coaches & Academics | Free 48hr audit → DM ‘AUDIT’

Your ideal client lands on your profile. In 2 seconds, they decide whether your expertise feels credible, relevant, and worth exploring. I help founders, consultants, academics and career switchers with deep expertise turn LinkedIn profiles into client-ready brands. Because the problem usually isn't your credibility. It's that your profile doesn't make it obvious. Your positioning is buried. Your banner says too little. Your visuals compete for attention. Your Featured section doesn't guide people anywhere. That's the gap I fix. THE 2-SECOND CLARITY TEST™ Before touching pixels, I look at four things: WHO — Is the person you help immediately obvious? WHAT — Is your core value clear within seconds? WHY — Does your visual identity reinforce the position you want to own? WHERE — Is the next step obvious and frictionless? If those answers aren't clear, attention leaks. And qualified visitors leave without ever telling you why. WHY MY BACKGROUND MATTERS Before design, I spent 12 years as a history teacher. My job was taking complex information and making it click quickly. I brought the same principle into design: Make the important thing obvious first. In 2023, the Polish Ministry of Education awarded me the Medal of the National Education Commission. WANT TO SEE WHERE YOUR PROFILE LEAKS ATTENTION? Send me AUDIT by DM. I'll review your LinkedIn profile using the 2-Second Clarity Test™ within 48 hours. No pitch. Just clear diagnostic feedback.

  • Canva and AI aren’t killing design. They’re killing the designers who only know how to click buttons. For few years, design communities have been in a panic: “AI is taking our jobs.” “Canva is cheapening design.” “Clients don’t value execution anymore.” Here’s what most founders get wrong about design: cheap software makes graphics fast, but it can’t fix an offer nobody understands. When a logo takes ten seconds to generate, nobody pays for execution. They pay for the judgement behind it. The “how” becomes cheap. The “why” becomes priceless. So if you sell software mechanics, AI is a threat. If you’re the strategic bridge between a brand and its paying audience, it’s the best assistant you’ve ever had. Let the software push the pixels. Your job is to diagnose why a visitor leaves in two seconds. Are you using AI to speed up production, or are you still trying to outwork it?

  • I am going to tell you something other graphic designers hate hearing. A visually stunning banner that lacks commercial positioning is just expensive decoration. When someone lands on your profile, they never ask if the layout looks pretty. They have about two seconds to answer one question: Is this for me? If your banner does not answer that before their thumb moves, they leave. No message. No follow. They just disappear. Most expert profiles fail the four questions every high-converting banner must answer: 1. WHO Who do you actually help? If a potential client cannot immediately recognise themselves in your headline, they keep scrolling. 2. WHAT What do you offer? Is your core offer instantly clear? If a visitor has to guess what you sell, they will not stay to figure it out. 3. WHY Why should someone trust you? Authority requires proof. Tangible client results, recognised logos, and verified outcomes build trust before a prospect reads your bio. 4. CTA What should a profile visitor do next? One frictionless path without competing choices. Clarity always beats volume. The goal is to turn years of experience into a message high-value buyers understand in seconds. The repositioning comes down to three structural rules: A clearer value statement. A stronger visual hierarchy with room to breathe. A mobile safe zone, so LinkedIn's circular avatar never blocks the core message. Your banner has one commercial job: make your expertise easier to recognise and trust. That is the difference between background decoration and a positioning asset. The hardest part about an abandoned front desk is that nobody tells you it is leaking. You do not see the people who left. You just see the silence. If you opened your profile right now through a buyer's eyes, which of the four questions would it fail?

  • I spent 300 hours reading branding books so you don’t have to. Here are the 5 you actually need to know. Your brand does not need a visual refresh. It needs you to stop treating yourself like the hero of the story. Most branding books sound smart for one chapter. Then leave you with zero clue why clients keep scrolling past your profile. I stopped designing banners. I started designing positioning. Before: treating every profile like an art project. After: treating every profile like a clarity problem. These 5 books forced that shift: 1. Building a StoryBrand, Donald Miller Your brand is not the hero. Your customer is. Clear stories sell better than clever slogans. 2. Creating a Brand Identity, Catharine Slade-Brooking The unglamorous baseline. How research turns into positioning before you touch a single pixel. 3. Identity Designed, David Airey Connects visual decisions to commercial outcomes. Not what looks pretty. What actually works. 4. Designing Brand Identity, Alina Wheeler A logo is just the surface. Voice, visuals, experience, consistency. The full system mapped out. 5. No Bullsh*t Branding, James Martin Branding stripped of agency jargon. How to build a distinct brand without burning months in agency meetings. Your expertise took twenty years to build. A stranger decides whether it matters in two seconds. Which book made you rethink how you position what you do?
