Day 20 in SF: No Sick Days Allowed. 😅 If you push yourself to the limit for 19 days straight, there’s a pretty good chance that on day 20, your body will finally tell you to stop. At least that’s what mine did. Fever. Exhaustion. And what did I say to it? Hell no. 😂 I had meetings. I had emails to answer. I had work to get done. And somehow, I even ended up pitching. And you know what? It was amazing. Was it the smartest thing to do? Probably not. But there are moments when you’re so deep into something you’ve been building that even feeling under the weather doesn’t make you want to slow down. Day 20: survived. Pitch: done. Work: done. Body: still negotiating. Maybe tomorrow I’ll listen to it. 😅 P.S. Huge thanks to Malaika Commons for the great opportunity, and to the judges — Madin Akpo-Esambe, Erwin Kok, Ayush Pandey , Cara Dorsey-McGee , and Lu Yang — for the thoughtful questions and feedback. And a special shoutout to Bisola, Mariam 🏠 for being the hype person she was. 😂🔥
Day 21–22 in SF: one day working from bed, one day exploring. 😂 Day 21: working from bed doesn’t really count as working, right? Also, I may have spent ~3 hours scrolling social media. But in my defense… market research. 👀 Consumer founders have to know what people are actually watching, sharing and responding to. So technically, I was working. I’ll stand by that. Day 22: completely different pace. Thanks to Diara Bagayeva , I got an amazing tour around Berkeley. Then finished the night at Maison Noir’s Bal Masqué at Hibernia. Despite the party theme, it was very much a social event — good conversations, new people and a very SF way to end the day. From bed → Berkeley → Bal Masqué. I’d call that a productive weekend. 🙃
Every one of these five roles is a founding or near-founding hire. No inherited playbook, no committee between you and the decision. What's open: 1. Technical Product Manager — internal AI agents · New York, on-site You'd build the agents a B2B AI company runs itself on. 5–15 yrs as PM or founder. H-1B transfers fine. 2. Founding Designer · Palo Alto, hybrid Consumer fintech, under 10 people. Whole UX and visual surface, yours to define. 2–12 yrs. Sponsorship available. 3. Senior Software Engineer, shopping & growth · Remote US Consumer marketplace, two ICs on the team today. Next.js, React, TypeScript, A/B and funnel work. 3–10 yrs. No sponsorship. 4. Founding Account Executive · Brooklyn, on-site First sales hire. Complex, high-ACV, selling to founders. Uncapped commission. 3–8 yrs. 5. Customer Implementation Lead, 3 openings · San Francisco, hybrid B2B SaaS/AI moving fast enough that a co-founder can't keep up with onboarding. You'd build that function. 2–5 yrs. If one of these is you, send me a DM or drop your profile in the comments. If it's someone you know, tag them — referrals are welcome and I'll always come back to you. Full briefs, including comp, on request. #hiring #startupjobs #techrecruitment #sf #foundingrole #nyc
