new media + creator economy | VP Global Partnerships | speaker + advisor | ex-TikTok
Twelve years at the forefront of the tech x creator economy intersection, spotting what's next before it happens. My core passions are entrepreneurship, innovation and early-stage ventures, and impact / values-driven work. I'm currently Global VP Partnerships at Influencer, where I lead how we grow and deepen relationships with the (social) platforms, innovation, agencies, and talent partners that shape the creator economy. Before this I was VP Growth EMEA, focused on commercial expansion and helping brands navigate an increasingly complex creative landscape. Before this, I spent nearly four years at TikTok, leading programs that helped the world's biggest brands make the TikToks that fuel their advertising. Earlier in my career, I joined Whalar as one of its first employees, helping scale it into the leading creator economy platform across both London and Singapore. I'm also a tech entrepreneur who has previously built a venture-backed creator startup in Asia, and is currently building an AI-based wellness platform in London. I care about this industry and all of the brilliance it has unleashed on the world. The creator economy enables anyone with ideas and the conviction to share them publicly, the ability to build a livelihood based on their views and insights. But I'm also clear about its shadow side: the overconsumption it drives, misinformation it can spread, not to mention the phone addiction it can profit from. I think the people best placed to fix those things are the ones closest to the engine, and I try to work accordingly. I also have a personal angel investment thesis: creators aren't marketing channels anymore. They're business infrastructure, and the smartest ones should be on the cap table, not just the media plan. Along the way, I've spoken on stages to audiences of 1000+, advised founders and executives on creative growth strategy… and completed 300+ hours of yoga teacher training. Let's connect if you're building something serious in the creator space, or just want to talk about where this industry is going 🌞

Guys after 12 years of literally building this industry from the ground UP - at TikTok, at Whalar, as a founder, and now with the Influencer A-team - encouraging every brand and their dog to work with creators, and talking endlessly about how they are the future of everything… I’ve bitten the bullet and started my content creator journey. My villain origin story? Cannes this year was INCREDIBLE. A great feeling for creators to yet again be the centre of the action, and comparing this year to my first Cannes in 2018 where there was a distinct *je m’en fous* attitude to the creator industry - it’s great to see us continue to crush. And while yes creators have been a focus of the festival for a few years now, there were unprecedented numbers of exceptional creator talent present this year, and they were ALSO being given access to rooms typically reserved for only c-suite industry execs. And they are BRILLIANT creators. I’m talking @askcatgpt, @miamcgrath, Hannah Wilson, creators who are 1%, top of their game. They are building, they have a distinct pov, they are sharing huge value with audiences. But TRULY for the first time in my career, I really thought to myself, I think I should be doing this too. If anything I’ve got TOO MANY ideas, I’ve got a ton of stories and experience building - yes in the creator economy, but also building an extremely fun, big life and an outlier career by taking full agency over my outcomes and bold action. @itsanastasiaevans on IG is where I’m starting. It’s scary and embarrassing now but won’t be once I get good! I’ll be sharing similar thoughts here on LinkedIn in written form, I’m posting a little on TikTok too and I will absolutely get to YouTube soon I promise Rajarshi Lahiri 🫶 Goal = I will be at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity next year as a creator AS WELL as a creator economy leader. Maybe manifesting something at the creator stage with new industry pal Brett Dashevsky. What do we think? Doing this all AS WELL as big, exciting role at Influencer is a lot. I am outsourcing editing already, and I’ve vibe coded myself a content calendar to keep me to a plan. But my god if any creators here have tips, pls share. Ok - follow for more, as they say!
I think I might be the first person in the world to discover that New York has a kind of good, infectious energy??? 🤪 I’ve spent the past 11 days here, and leaving today feeling so inspired by the hustle, the pace at which people make things happen, the can-do attitude, the partnership mindset - and, honestly, the sheer abundance of collaboration and positivity from almost everyone I’ve encountered. A few highlights: ☀️ Our first ever Global Revenue offsite at Influencer, led by brilliant inspiring leader Jenny Penich. So good to spend time with our new global leadership team, align around where we’re going next and feel the energy of ambitious people building towards the same thing. ☀️ A very fun YouTube x Influencer happy hour, where I finally got to meet more of our US-based partner leads across one of our biggest platform partnerships. Extremely excited about everything we have to build together ❤️ ☀️ Meeting and plotting with our brilliant TikTok partners about how we continue to scale our partnership across new lines of business, new products and new offerings. Big goals here! ☀️ The Creator Economy NYC mixer on Tuesday by Brett Dashevsky, where I met such an insane concentration of people in one room: big thinkers, builders, creators, investors, operators. People who really understand where this industry is going, and who genuinely believe the sky is the limit. I came away feeling pumped. Hannah Wilson Jahleane Dolne Amy W. Hall Charter Jay Jordan so many more! ☀️ Also, at the weekend, I had one of the most New York experiences ever: I cold-DMed one of the last remaining artists living at the famous Chelsea Hotel, asked whether I could support him, he said yes, and so I went to his apartment to meet him and choose a piece. Anything - truly anything - feels possible in New York. Also loved spending time and exchanging ideas with some of our future, almost-there, contracts-pending partners 👀 in my beloved innovation space. Watch this space, I’m excited for Influencer to share what we’re working on soon. Leaving with 200 new ideas, 60 new friends, 20 open conversation loops and full belief that all of them could work. I’m lucky this is my job. New York, you are A LOT. Hopefully see you again very soon 🇺🇸
Yesterday we launched a pretty exciting expansion to the creator economy. ✨ Creator-First AEO ✨ - an industry-first offer from Influencer, bringing creator marketing and answer engine optimisation together, landed in The Wall Street Journal I’ve been loving leading our partnership with Profound and getting this over the line. And when we say innovation, this is what we mean. Creators have spent years influencing what people buy, try and trust. Now, the content they make is also influencing what AI recommends. It’s so important to note that this doesn’t mean making generic content for AI. The output still needs to be great creator content first: entertaining, useful, credible, HUMAN. We’re just getting much smarter about engineering it around the questions people are asking AI, the gaps in what answer engines currently know, and the formats that make that content easier for AI to surface. 💡 Creator first, but AI-engineered. A big part of bringing this to life has been the Profound team themselves. James Cadwallader has built an incredible team - everyone I’ve worked with has been so smart, switched on, ridiculously responsive and very clearly building towards the same goal. Real category-building startup energy, and exactly the kind of company I love seeing us align with ⚡️ Huge thank you to Eliott Lee, Maddie Johnston, James Boseley, Tessa McManus, Sean Hodges and so many more on the Profound side And ofc to Ben Jeffries, Caspar Lee, Jenny Penich, Amar Braithwaite, Paul Heithaus, Raphaele Schnoll, Sophie Donovan, Sophie Sedgwick-Heath, Emily Lauren Newton and the wider Influencer team. Lots more to come 🚀
