Co-Founder Stablecoin Insider | StableDay Lead Proof of Talk | Speaking with founders at Out of Pilot | Making sense of stablecoins and tokenized money | 0 → 1 Sparring Partner
Before reading this: I only work with committed professionals who want to put in the work, are reliable, and are ready to be challenged. This being said, welcome. After years of working with corporates, startups, agencies, and some of the smartest minds in Web3, I’ve realized that the best way I can serve the space is through what I love most: bringing knowledge and people together. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Stablecoin Insider — the #1 independent journal dedicated solely to the stablecoin ecosystem - I aim to educate and share research around one of the most high-value use cases of blockchain technology. I create and share stablecoin content on LinkedIn and through the journal stablecoininsider.org as I learn myself the beauty of this evolving space. I partner with stablecoin-related companies to co-create content together for this exact reason. People wonder who to go for what in stablecoins, well that's what people come to me for. Since 2018, I co-organized 20+ Web3 events and spoken at just as many. I am still active as an event moderator, speaker and event marketing advisor. Led the marketing team at Proof of Talk for their 2026 Edition at the Louvre of Paris, after years of contributing to the Dutch Blockchain Week, Dutch Blockchain Days and BNCL Foundation. Previously, I worked at Web3 Deloitte, advising on Web3 Enterprise Transition and Crypto Custody Exchange strategies. All of this contributes to what I call being a horizontal knowledge operator, able to activate GTM strategies across sectors by connecting the right people with the right messages. I love building, creating, pushing and finding new ways to get stuff done, better or faster (or both). I am genuinely a curious and strategic person, interested in collaborating and exploring ways to help each other reach individual and business objectives. I prioritise proactivness and believe in consistent commitment as well as honest relationships. Enough about me: → If you're a knowledge expert in the Stablecoin, TradFi, or DeFi space and want to get featured inside at Stablecoin Insider, send me a message. → If you want to co-create stablecoin content together, send me a message. → If you want to book me as a speaker or moderator, send me a message. → If you want to get your team educated around stablecoins, send me a message. (what a guess!) In any case, just reach out. If we are not a fit, we will still have an enjoyable conversation. Let’s build and progress together. Chiara

Together with Sumsub we mapped the 7 frameworks driving global stablecoin compliance in 2026. Here's what businesses need to know: (+ key points of failure) The five obligations that show up in every framework, regardless of jurisdiction: → Full 1:1 reserves, segregated from operating funds → Independent attestation on a fixed schedule → Redemption at par, inside a defined window → No yield paid to holders → A functioning AML program with Travel Rule compliance built into the transaction flow The recurring points of failure are: 1. Product design that precedes compliance assessment, frequently producing models that satisfy no major regime 2. Reliance on a single jurisdiction's authorization where currency-peg rules extend extraterritorial scope (the HKMA regulates HKD-pegged tokens issued anywhere) 3. Fiat and on-chain compliance operated as separate systems, producing inconsistent customer risk profiles and monitoring gaps 4. Reserve attestation treated as periodic reporting rather than continuous operational control 5. Counterparty risk assessed by transaction alone, without regard to whether the receiving entity is a licensed issuer or an unregulated platform Overall, sablecoins account for 36% of crypto transfer volume by transaction count, up from 31% in 2024. 83% of surveyed jurisdictions now have Travel Rule legislation in force, up from 73% a year prior. Hong Kong received 36 stablecoin issuer applications by its September 2025 deadline and 2 licenses have been granted to date. Full overview in the 2026 Stablecoin Compliance Report by Sumsub. What does it happen when you tap your card or make a purchase online? Does that change if you use stablecoins? It does, but not for you as a user. Let's get into it: For the user, it's simple. Yet, the deeper you go into the internal layers of how a card payment works, the more complicated it gets. When you tap your card or buy something online, a message instantly races from the store to its bank, through the card network, and straight to your card issuer to check your balance and screen for fraud. Approval takes 2seconds, but the actual money movement hasn't happened yet. At the end of the day, networks pool every purchase into a massive list of IOUs between banks. In the traditional system, actually moving that money relies on decades-old banking rails that close on weekends and holidays. This delay forces companies behind cards to lock up millions of dollars in idle cash just to guarantee payouts while waiting for banks to open. Going international makes it worse, requiring multiple local bank accounts and expensive currency conversions across borders. Using a stablecoin card changes none of this for the user. The transformation happens strictly in the background. PART 2 coming tomorrow, breaking down how Stablecoin Cards got adopted and the added benefits of using them within a card network system.
