Anthropic is paying up to 345,000 USD for a Salesforce developer. The company selling the agents that are supposed to do that work. Their CEO said in March 2025 that AI would be writing 90% of all code within six months. Redwood Research checked when the six months were up, and it wasn't happening, not even at Anthropic. Read the actual job: Apex triggers, CPQ and pricing logic, discount approvals, renewals and co-terms, and wiring all of it into Stripe, Metronome and NetSuite. That's quote-to-cash, the least glamorous system in any revenue org. And they're paying top of market for a human to own it. So if the most AI-native company on the planet still hires that person, think about what's sitting inside a company that has never opened Claude Code. Here's the number I keep coming back to. IDC puts the Salesforce ecosystem at 6.19 dollars of partner and services revenue for every 1 dollar Salesforce itself makes in 2026. Six dollars of people for every dollar of software. My bet is that ratio compresses to 4 or 5 over the next year as agents take the repetitive parts. It does NOT go to zero. Someone still has to decide what the system should do, and that someone gets paid. P.S. what's the one process in your company everyone assumes is automated by now, and definitely isn't?
