I’ve spent over a decade building and operating early-stage startups. I am known for my work around the convergence of Customer Experience and Customer Retention at consumer brands such as Jones Road Beauty, OLIPOP, and many more. Alongside my hands-on experience, I've consulted for well over 100 other brands, helping them enhance their Retention and CX strategies. After years of building brands that put the customer first, I’ve switched to the tech side to help build the future of ecom at Yotpo. 40 countries and counting! 🌎 ✈️ Twitter: @eliweisss

Used to be simple. Spend on Meta, get points, fly business class to Malta. Now Meta wants advertisers off credit cards and onto monthly invoicing. The incentive is obvious. Meta saves roughly 2.35% in processing fees. But the math gets interesting. 20 advertisers representing $32M in monthly Meta spend are threatening to cut budgets by 25–35%. A ~2.4% pullback alone could wipe out Meta’s entire fee savings. They’re threatening 10x that. I get why advertisers care. I’ve been to 40 countries and haven’t paid cash for a hotel in years, largely because of credit card points. With massive recurring ad spend, those rewards add up fast. And moving to invoicing puts a lot of them at risk. Dash.fi just came out with a way to help advertisers preserve some of those rewards. 1% cash back on qualifying Meta-invoiced spend, plus additional savings their invoice audits can uncover. They broke down the whole Meta shift here: https://lnkd.in/ekgVwE-t Meta is changing the game. Dash.fi is finding a way to give advertisers some of that value back. #dashfipartner #ad #cashback (photo from the archives, circa 2017😭)
Tomorrow I'm doing something I haven't done in a hot minute: jumping on the webinar circuit! Fitting that it's on the one topic I can't stop talking about. Right now everyone's racing to hand customer experience over to AI. Faster replies, fewer people, tickets closed before anyone human sees them. A lot of that is genuine progress. But somewhere in the rush, "efficient" got confused with "good." The brands that win the next few years won't be the ones who automate the most. They'll be the ones who know exactly when to keep a human in the loop, and design for it on purpose, not as a fallback. Joining Sachin Jaiswal (kim.cc) and Ronak Shah (Obvi) to talk about redefining CX to futureproof revenue. Aug 27, 1:30 PM ET. Join us: https://lnkd.in/eRFwPnVC
"Where should I use AI in CX, and where should I avoid?" Most teams start with “what can we automate?” which sounds practical until order tracking, refund exceptions, angry VIP customers, damaged birthday gifts, and cancellation saves all get dumped into the same giant bucket called “support.” That is how brands get into trouble. AI is great at reading the pile, spotting patterns, pulling context, routing work, and drafting the boring stuff. The wheels come off when it starts making promises, denying refunds, apologizing to angry customers, or deciding whether a long-time customer deserves an exception. So this week: five CX jobs AI should probably own already, and five I’d keep it far away from for now. Brought to you by my friends at kim.cc 🖤
