Hi! 👋 I’m Jenna. I live in the foothills of Colorado with my husband, two kids, and a couple clingy canines. I am: ☀️ Fueled by coffee, curiosity, and a desire to drive positive change. 💻 Advocating for salary transparency, flex work, and human-centered leadership. 🎓 A big believer in the power of higher education and global learning. ————————————————————————————— I’ve led teams responsible for $34M in revenue and I’ve individually closed $5M+. My philosophy for leadership and sales is the same: listen deeply, remove barriers, and bring good energy.

I’ve enjoyed a beautiful summer with my kids, but now it’s time to get back to work. ⬇️ I have over a decade of experience in sales and people management. As a team leader, I’ve been responsible for $16M and $34M in annual revenue. As a top-performing IC, I’ve closed over $5M and consistently exceeded quota (120%, 120%, 130%, 250%). I listen deeply, bring good energy, ask direct questions, and stay obsessively organized. I lean into AI tools, but I still believe the human touch is what closes complex deals. ⬇️ I am looking for a B2B Director/VP role or senior AE role ($150k+ base / $250k+ OTE). I would love to really dig in and grow roots at my next company. What is most important to me is working with a driven and ethical team. If you are hiring and I’ve piqued your curiosity, let’s chat. ☀️
This is a lovely photo of my son, soaking in the natural beauty outside, right? WRONG. He's actually on my phone, watching a YouTube series about Bigfoot. 🤪 ⬇️ This photo reminds me of the DIE (Describe, Interpret, Evaluate) exercise we often did with students when I worked in International Ed. The facilitator shows a photo, and participants try to describe only what they observe. No interpretation or judgment layered in. Then they move to guess and evaluate what's happening in the photo. Eventually, the facilitator shares the full context of the photo, revealing just how far interpretations can diverge from reality. It's a good reminder that our assumptions are often wrong: If someone was laid off, it doesn't mean they underperformed. Maybe their entire department was cut from numbers on a spreadsheet. If someone left a job, it doesn't mean they're disloyal. Maybe they finally stopped tolerating an awful manager. If someone has a large gap in between jobs, it doesn't mean they aren't trying hard enough or nobody wants them. Maybe they were caregiving or taking an intentional break to travel. If someone has been at the same company for 10+ years, it doesn't mean they're unambitious. Maybe they've consistently grown in the role and been rewarded for it. If someone asks about salary early on in the interview process, it doesn't mean they're only "in it for the money." Maybe they have rent to pay and don't want to waste anyone's time. If someone is old, it doesn't mean they're resistant to new technology. Maybe they've been vibe coding for months. If someone is young, it doesn't mean they're inexperienced. Maybe they've been working since 14 and have killer work ethic. If someone has kids, it doesn't mean they're distracted. Maybe they're incredibly intentional and focused with their time. ⬇️ So, as you scroll on LinkedIn, if you find yourself making a judgment about someone from one thing they posted or a quick peek at their profile: pause. Suspend your judgment. There's context, nuance, and a story behind everything. ☀️
Cold applications are not dead. ⬇️ I've been on the job market for two months and I've interviewed with 22 companies so far. Two have been from recruiters. Four have been direct referrals from former colleagues. Six have been from LinkedIn DMs. 10 have been from cold applications. ⬇️ Yes, the market is tough and it's hard to stand out, but here's my advice: 1. RESUME Make sure your resume is strong. You need numbers - almost every bullet should have something quantifiable in it. And you need white space - hiring teams are reviewing a lot of resumes. Make sure your resume is easy-to-skim. 2. COVER LETTER Cover letters are an easy way to stand out from a sea of resumes, but find a way to personalize them at scale to save you some time. I created a skill on Claude that has all my recommendations. I just plop the job description in, and it finds the five most relevant quotes for that job: "My resume shows my outcomes, so I'll use this space to highlight what I'd bring to [company] from the voices of former managers, direct reports, clients, and colleagues: [insert quotes]. 20+ full recommendations are on my LinkedIn profile." 3. LINKEDIN DMS For every cold application I submit, I find someone from the Talent team and/or the direct Hiring Manager and shoot them a DM. Short-and-sweet with no ask. "Hi [name]! I just applied for your open [X] position and wanted to pop in to put a face to the application. [Insert one sentence on why you are a great candidate]. Thanks for your consideration!" I use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to help me find people. It has a monthly cost, but I think it's worth it. 4. SPEED There are really cool jobs that were posted a month ago, or reposted again and again. But they probably already have 100s of applicants. I only apply to jobs that were posted within the past 3 days. I try to just filter by past 24 hours. It takes discipline, but it's working for me so far. ⬇️ Job searching right now, too? Drop your tips in the comments. ☀️
