About Matt Beks

My specialism? Being the first Customer Success hire. 🏗️ Which means I'm comfortable with ambiguity, fast at building trust, and experienced at turning blank-slate CS operations into structured, scalable functions that actually stick. What makes me different: 🎯 My background spans Customer Success, 10 years of hands-on SEO platform experience, and the fast-moving world of AEO/GEO (Answer Engine Optimisation / Generative Engine Optimisation). I've watched AI reshape how brands get found — from the inside, working with the tools and the teams dealing with it in real time. I'm not just aware of the shift, I'm actively upskilling to stay ahead of it. The companies building in this space need CS leaders who can talk to a customer about ROI in the morning and have a credible conversation about AI search visibility in the afternoon. That's the lane I've carved out over the last decade. What I'm known for: ⚡ 🏆 Commercial outcomes from customer relationships — $450K personal referral ARR, 125% NRR, President's Club winner 🌍 Building & scaling EMEA CS from scratch — with limited resources and high expectations 📈 Enterprise account expansion — 300% ARR growth on a single account, consistent focus on multi-year renewals 👥 Hiring & leading high-performing regional CS teams — across UK, Europe and beyond Open to the right conversation: 💬 ✅ Head of Customer Success / Customer Success Director ✅ VP Customer Success — EMEA or Global ✅ SEO Director / Account Director at SEO or AI Search platforms ✅ Senior Account Executive or Sales — I sell from credibility, not pitch decks ✅ Any role at a company building seriously in AEO, GEO or AI search visibility 📍 Based in London | Hybrid & Remote | Available immediately 📩 [email removed] | 07969 112623

  • Since starting I've been asked what does a Director of Growth & Community actually do? My actual job is being the face of Two Trees PPC as the agencies grows. But here's what that means day to day! 🗣️ I show up. Events, stages, podcasts, webinars, LinkedIn. Wherever marketing leaders are talking, I want to be in the room (or at least in the comments). I have quite a few ideas around this. 🤝 I build relationships before people need us. Referral partners, industry contacts, potential clients. The goal isn't a hard pitch. It's making sure Two Trees is the name that comes to mind when the timing's actually right and it's a good fit. 🇬🇧 I'm leading our push into the UK market. Brand recognition, local presence, new opportunities, basically starting from zero and building it up in real time. 📹 I create and chase opportunities to talk about what we do. Speaking slots, YouTube, podcasts, conferences. If there's a mic and an audience of marketers, I want to be near it - so who knows hopefully I finally get off my brightonSEO speaking duck! 🎯 And when a real conversation turns into a real opportunity I have a chat to see if working with Two Trees makes sense. Discovery calls, strategy, proposing closing the right clients (not just any clients). At the core, being a brand ambassador isn't a task on my job description. It's the whole point of the role. In short I am a big believer that people buy from people they trust and given my background having spent the last 10 years in Customer Success in SEO SaaS I've seen a lot and I can build something of real value! Who's the person you think of when you think of a brand, not just a company?

  • If you were me, what podcast would you build? 🎙️ I've been sitting on this idea for a while, and I think it's finally time put the idea out there! What would you like to see me build? Ten years in SEO SaaS as Customer Success. Before that in house and Agency experience. My journey has genuinely put me in front of a huge range of setups. Agencies, enterprise teams, SMEs, and everything in between. I think there's a podcast in there somewhere. I just haven't landed on the exact shape of it yet. 🤔 Some directions I'm kicking around: 🏢 The reality of in-house SEO vs agency life, and why the two sides often talk past each other 🚩 What I see companies get wrong about SEO, PPC, AI Search, having sat on the vendor side and watched it play out from the inside 🧩 Enterprise SEO politics. Less algorithm talk, more "how do you get five stakeholders to agree on anything" 🛣️ Career paths in search marketing that don't look like the "typical" route 🔧 Honest conversations about tools and platforms. Less demo, more "does this actually work in practice" Nothing concrete yet. They feel like starting points, not the whole picture. 💭 So I thought I'd ask my network what they want: What's a search marketing podcast you'd actually want to listen to? 👂 What's missing from the space right now? Who would you want to hear from? Drop a comment below 👇 or send me a DM if you'd rather talk it through properly. I'm in listening mode on this one 😂
